We're Branching Out

I am happy to announce that The House Quilt Project is branching out to include Army and Navy.  Instead of using the name "Wounded Warrior Battalion" which was specific to Marines, we will be making patriotic house quilts for a "Wounded Service Member."

Furnishing Hope
Each recipient of an interior designed and furnished home by Furnishing Hope is referred by a partnering non-profit or Military Family Readiness Officer.  Furnishing Hope does not provide the housing; we transform houses into homes with the help of professional interior designers, who volunteer their time.   Recipients keep all the furniture and accessories we place in their new home.
Volunteer designers and teams of volunteers:
  • Design an interior for one of our recipients and their family from their style tastes.
  • Select furniture from the Furnishing Hope warehouse and Living Spaces showrooms.
  • Use their talents, friends and resources to fill the hopes and dreams of the family.
  • Install the project in one day, usually within a few hours.
  • Meet the family as they are shown their furnished home.

Call for Patriotic House Quilts

The House Quilt Project is looking for more people to make patriotic house quilts.

(above - by Sally Gould Wright)

12" wide by 16" high - vertical format, and must have a house and an American flag on it.

It's a pretty easy size to create.

In the upper tool bar, there are instructions for making the wall quilts, pop tops for easy hanging, and label information, plus where to ship.
